Day 1 – Welcome to Bordeaux! Private transfer from the Bordeaux airport or train station to our charming luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Bordeaux in the area known as The Golden Triangle. Welcome dinner.
Day 2 – With your free time in the morning, you might want to relax over a leisurely breakfast and shake off jet lag or wander the beautiful neighborhood around our hotel. Later in the morning, we’ll meet our guide for a walking and tasting tour of some of Bordeaux’s local gourmet delicacies. Following our tour, we’ll have an introduction to Bordeaux wine at the Ecole du Vin with a local wine expert.
Day 3 – Discover the unique market of Les Capucins with chef Franck Audu, of La Tupina, who will introduce you to fresh local products and traditional French gastronomic cooking from Bordeaux and the Landes. After collecting our ingredients from the market, we’ll have a cooking class with Chef Audu, preparing our own lunch. Enjoyed with French wine pairings, of course!
Day 4 – The wines of the famous Saint-Emilion await. After a tour and tasting of sparkling Saint-Emilion wines, we'll enjoy a picnic lunch. Our day will also include a special wine-blending workshop with time to explore the beautiful UNESCO village of Saint-Emilion.
Day 5 – Today features a very special experience at the beautiful Citedu Vin, Bordeaux's spectacular wine museum, including tastings and time to enjoy the panoramic view of the city. We'll gather in the evening for a light dinner at a local bistro.
Day 6 – We’re headed to the coast today. In the morning, we’ll learn about the local caviar produced from sturgeon fish from the Garonne River. Next, we’ll enjoy a private cruise on Arcachon Bay with wine tasting, then visit a traditional oyster shack.
Day 7 – Today is all yours to explore Bordeaux for shopping, museums, and perhaps more wine tasting. We'll gather in the evening for a group farewell dinner.
