Our journey continues with an exploration of the Etna countryside, where we'll taste the unique wines cultivated in volcanic soils. From a hands-on cooking class in a family-run Taormina restaurant to a street food tasting in Catania, we'll celebrate Sicily’s culinary heritage. Starting on the east coast and ending in Palermo to the west, we'll immerse ourselves in the island’s vibrant markets, historic vineyards, and charming towns, savoring local specialties and world-class wines that capture the essence of Sicily.

October 18 - Arrivals & Welcome Tour Private, individual transfers from the Catania airport to the stunning boutique Hotel Splendid in the center of Taormina. In the evening, we’ll meet our local guide and head out for a welcome dinner; walking, tasting, and learning as we go. (D)
October 19 - Mt Etna Countryside Winery We'll drive through the villages around the active volcano of Mt Etna. Next stop is a family run winery, where after a guided visit of the cellars, we'll taste volcanic wines with organic Etna appetizers. For lunch, we'll visit a picturesque farmhouse restaurant and enjoy seasonal antipasti and local specialties. Free evening. (B, L)
October 20 - Taormina Cooking Class Meet a local chef who will take us to visit Taormina’s Food Market, where farmers, fishermen and butchers sell their fresh goods. Our chef will help us select products for our cooking class, where we'll learn culinary secrets of homemade bread, pasta, fish, and vegetables dishes in a traditional Sicilian style while enjoying local wines. October 21 - Catania Street Food, Village of Noto, Syracuse Leave Taormina today with a stop in Catania for a light tasting of local specialties. Next we head to head to Noto, a UNESCO heritage site and a jewel of baroque architecture. Enjoy an easy walk with our guide before lunch. Transfer to the charming Hotel Caportigia in Syracuse and explore this romantic town at night. Free evening. (B, L)
October 22 - Free Day, Evening Food & Wine Walking Tour Spend the day exploring and shopping the side streets and boutiques by the sea in the charming town. In the evening we'll gather for a dinner walking tour of Ortigia, Syracuse old town, where we'll stop at restaurants for bites and sips of local specialties. Along the way, our guide will share the history, culture, lifestyle, and gastronomy of the area. (B, D)
October 23 - Syracuse Winery Tour Check out and head to an winery located in Syracuse’s countryside. We'll be welcomed by the owner and have a guided visit of the cellars. Enjoy a light lunch with local organic products and wine tasting in their beautiful courtyard or inside the house. Discover the differences of wines produced in the Syracuse area compared to the wines of Etna. Transfer to the picturesque Palermo Hotel Politeama. Free evening to enjoy Palermo. (B,L)
October 24 - Palermo Street Food Tour Today's food tour explores the fascinating culinary world of Sicily’s capital and includes visits to the famous, bustling Vucciria and Mercato del Capo outdoor markets, with a tasting of Sicilian treats along the way. Pass through Palermo old town and hear highlights of the history of Palermo and Sicilian food. We'll finish the evening with a farewell dinner at a local restaurant. (B, L, D)
October 25 - Head Home Or On To Your Next Adventures Check out of our hotel and head to Palermo Airport for your flights home or to your next adventures. (B)
