British Columbia Itinerary Highlights
Day 1 – Tuesday, July 2. Welcome to Vancouver! We’ll gather at our 4-star hotel downtown then head out together for our Welcome Dinner. (D)
Day 2 – We’re off to explore the city, including scenic drives and lots of walking. The first stop will be Stanley Park, including a visit to the totem poles and Prospect Point lookout. Then, we'll make our way to the woods of the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Lunchtime will be spent wandering the Granville Public Market and Granville Island. After a break, we’ll walk to historic Gastown for our evening walking and tasting Progressive Dinner. (B, D)
Day 3 – Today’s wine-tasting adventure to the scenic Fraser Valley includes tastings of multiple varieties in at least three wineries and a light lunch. Our guide will give us the history of this region, which produces cool-climate varietals. We’ll be back in plenty of time to relax and explore some of the local restaurants. (B, L)
Day 4 – We’ll check out of our Vancouver hotel and take the ferry together to beautiful Victoria on Vancouver Island. We’ll arrive at our hotel near the harbor in plenty of time to relax before our evening "Eat Like a Canadian" walking and tasting tour. (B, D)
Day 5 – It’s time to visit the famous Saturday Market in the Park on Salt Spring Island. After a short ferry ride through the Gulf Islands, we’ll have time to wander through the beautiful art, clothing, crafts, and jewelry made by local artists, sample the delicious local fare from farmers and artisans, and visit shops and art galleries in Ganges. After the market, we’ll stroll through a lush fern rainforest, then take a sight-seeing journey of the Island, with stops at farmstands, wine tasting, and beer tasting at a local brewery. Our lunch stop will include local ciders, craft beers, and wines. (B, L)
Day 6 – The famous B.C. wine region of Cowichan Valley awaits today! The vineyards of the Cowichan Valley have ideal conditions for grape varieties that include Ortega, Bacchus, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Marechal Foch, and Pinot Noir. Some of the vintners also produce hybrids and sparkling wines. (B, L)
Day 7 – Today is all yours. There’s so much more to see in Victoria. Perhaps you’ll do more shopping, ride the Pickle Boat Harbor Boats, visit Craigdarroch Castle, or we can arrange a tour of the world-famous Butchart Gardens.
