Day 2 - Walking and Tasting Tour of Garcia neighborhood - includes stops at pastry shops, bodegas, tapas bars, a local market and cultural sites, with multiple food and Spanish beverage tastings. Free afternoon. Evening Tapas and Wine Tasting Tour of the Born neighborhood – includes tastings of 10 different types of Spanish wine, from sparkling Cava to aged Tempranillo while feasting on a variety of tapas.
Day 3 - Market Visit and Lunch Cooking Class. Meet a local professional chef at Boqueria market in Las Ramblas to choose ingredients for the lunch featuring regional Catalan dishes we will cook together. Free afternoon before group dinner.
Day 4 - Penedes and Stiges. Day trip to the Penedès region and the charming seaside town of Sitges, a winemaking area best known for Spain’s Cava production. Our day will include visits to Cava cellars and tasting a variety of these sparkling wines with a full lunch. Free evening.
Day 5 - Lunch Tasting Tour. We’ll explore two Barcelona neighborhoods, the medieval Born and the fishermen’s district of Barceloneta to see where locals shop and eat. Our stops will include delis, shops, bodegas, tapas bars, a local market plus cultural and historical sites. We’ll enjoy multiple food tastings and a variety of local Spanish beverages. Free afternoon and evening with dinner on your own.
Day 6 - Winery and Montserrat.Day trip to Montserrat touring the legendary monastery with breath-taking mountain views and a visit to a winery in a medieval castle, with wine tasting and lunch included. Free evening with dinner on your own.
Day 7 - Free Day to explore the city, see the museums or do some shopping. Group Farewell Dinner.
