Day 1 - Arrive in Florence and transfer to our charming boutique hotel adjacent to the Ufﬁzi Gallery and enjoy some time on your own to explore this walkable and historic city. Welcome dinner at a restaurant with a gorgeous view of the Ponte Vecchio.
Day 2 - Meet your guide for a walking tour plus lunch. Free evening.
Day 3 – Full-day excursion to Siena and San Gimignano. Return to Florence for a group dinner at a charming trattoria.
Day 4 – This morning, time on your own in Florence for some last-minute shopping. Early afternoon transfer from Florence to your palazzo in Norcia. Once an Umbrian palace, today this is a stunning family-run Relais & Chateaux property. Take time to explore the town square then gather as a group for dinner at the elegant restaurant in your palazzo.
Day 5 – Your ﬁrst hands-on cooking class will be an introduction to Umbrian cooking, plus the lunch you’ve cooked. Later in the late afternoon, go on a black trufﬂe hunt and learn how the dogs ﬁnd trufﬂes buried throughout the countryside. Group dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 6 – After a second cooking class and lunch, we’ll explore Spoleto, a bronze-age town located on the slope of a sacred mountain. Group dinner at a local restaurant in Norcia.
Day 7 – Visit Assisi, the city of St. Francis then to the town of Montefalco for a wine tasting, and Campello for an olive oil tasting. Return to the hotel for a farewell dinner.
Day 8 – Departures. Following breakfast, group transfers to Fiumicino Airport in Rome.
