Join us as we taste our way through local markets in Scotland’s historic capital Edinburgh, home tothe medieval Old Town and elegant Georgian New Town peppered with gardens and neoclassical buildings. We’ll explore Scottish culinary traditions as well as the emerging food scene of this vibrant city. As we journey through the stunning scenery of the Highlands, you’ll learn the folklore of the ancient Scottish clans while meeting local producers and chefs.Learn about the history and complexities of Scotch whisky as we sip and taste our way through the Highlands and the Lowlands.

Scotland Itinerary Highlights (subject to change as we fine tune activities)
Day 1 - Friday, Sept 13, 2024 Welcome to Edinburgh! Private pickup from Edinburgh airport or train station to our charming boutique hotel in the New Town area. Welcome dinner.
Day 2 - Walking food tour through Edinburgh’s Old Town sampling classic haggis, creamy cheese, traditional afternoon tea, and of course local lowland whisky. Free evening.
Day 3 - Starting at the Sunday Morning Stockbridge Farmer’s Market we’ll take a walking food tour through Edinburgh’s New Town, focusing on the best of Scottish food sourced from independent suppliers, taking in the magnificent UNESCO Georgian New Town and vibrant Stockbridge village. Free evening.
Day 4 - Check out of our hotel as we head north into the highlands. On the way to Inverness, we’ll stop at a scenic lochside hotel where we will have a cooking demonstration with a wine and whisky pairing followed by lunch and a stop at a world-famous chocolatier. After settling into our charming Inverness hotel, we’ll meet for dinner at a local pub and enjoy an evening filled with dinner, whisky, music, and traditional Scottish songs.
Day 5 - Time to find Nessie! We’ll take a morning Loch Ness Cruise across the mysterious loch, followed by a visit to explore the historic Urquhart Castle. In the afternoon we’ll tour Glen Ord Distillery on the edge of the Black Isle. Free evening.
Day 6 - As we travel south back to Edinburgh, we’ll stop for lunch at a 3rd generation farm shop where everything is made on the premises including soups, sandwiches, jam, and other sweets and savories. Back in Edinburgh, we’ll have afternoon tea at the Secret Herb Garden Gin Distillery and a free evening.
Day 7 –Spend our last day exploring Edinburgh, the Castle, museums, Leith, Arthur’s Seat, or just last-minute shopping. Farewell dinner.
Day 8 - Transfers from hotel to Edinburgh Airport or train station.
